BLUE ANGEL Blue Angel; Never been untrue I have been a cheating man, I’ve never been untrue My love never stumbled, never faltered Always love you You say you overcame foolishness the day you overcame love As you surrendered tenderness and the seasons we dreamed of Blue Angel - shine your light on me Hurry to fury on matters of the heart Mercy angel nurse me you know where to start Squeeze me in your mind; your teeth are too sharp Take a chance, romance is depending on you Be fool enough to believe and fall for a dream Heavenly body - shine your light on me Shine on © 2012 D. The Wheel of Life The Wheel of life brings change The center remains Attainable periphery Is a stumbling opportunity If you want to get to heaven Let me tell you how You’ve got to live right In the here and Tao I’m far out on the oak limb I’m holding back my fear I can see the rocky bottom I would hate to fall from here The Wheel of life brings change The center remains If you want a piece of heaven Let me tell you how You’ve got to do right In the here and Tao © 2012 D. about

"Mudcat’s Chicken & Gin CD is a CD filled with uplifting music; the music touches my soul, the lyrics inspire and they have my feet tappin’.
My favorite song on this CD is “Fly Again” – Takes me to a “simpler” time and reminds me to reach for the stars and to have faith in my heart – to pick myself up and soar." Catherine Kane

Jeff Clark, Stomp and stammer-
Mudcat have a new CD called Chicken & Gin. Their eleventh overall, C&G offers ten reassuring examples why Danny Dudeck and co. continue to endure this many years on, collecting fresh followers with every festive weekend stint at the Northside. They start with a genuine love for and knowledge of America’s musical heritage, respecting the traditions while stirring up the sounds into their own particular gumbo. And they have fun with it all – everything they do swings with the sense of a celebration, upbeat and shakin’, friendly and communal. Dudeck’s woozy slide guitar and rousing vocals give the meal its meat, while piano and organ (Chad Mason), trombone (Lil’ Joe Burton) and a hoppin’ rhythm section (Eskil Wetterqvist on drums, Shannon Kirk on bass) lend potent spice. Eight originals here, with a midsection featuring two gospel traditionals. Next opportunity to partake of this party live and in person comes this Friday and Saturday at Mudcat World HQ, the Northside Tavern.
